Review:

Manny’s is a small bar and restaurant in San Antonio, NM, that, like The Owl Bar, serves green chile cheeseburgers. In my opinion, however Manny’s cheeseburgers are better than those of the more visible and highly-advertised Owl Bar just a block away.

I had heard good things about Manny’s from my friends, but finally, one day, we decided to try it out. It’s not hard to miss if you’re not looking for it, and the exterior is nothing special. Inside, it’s a lively little bar with a television in the corner and a friendly staff.

The menu is small, focusing on the green chile cheeseburgers that they usually serve, and is comparable to The Owl Bar’s menu.

To me, the hamburgers were just better. They were larger and easier to hold, and seemed to be constructed better, holding their contents much better than I was used to at The Owl. They also, and more importantly to me, tasted better. While still thin, the meat was thicker than a burger from The Owl, and seemed to be a better quality of meat -- seasoned better and more tender.

The prices seemed to be about the same, too.

Essentially, Manny’s appears to be a smaller, quieter version of The Owl with slightly better burgers at the same price, and that has made it my preference when it comes to satisfying a green chile cheesburger craving.

MANNY'S BUCKHORN IS THE BEST, THE SERVICE IS SO WELCOMING! UN LIKE THE OWL BAR WHERE THEY ARE VERY RUDE!
