Review:

It's a tiny little restaurant on a one-way street behind the post office, but I love it. It's good solid New Mexican food. Like something that would come out of grandma’s kitchen, if my grandma wasn't so ... Midwestern.

They have the only Navajo Tacos that are worth a damn this side of Arizona that I've found. And for $3.20, you can pick up 2 empanadas filled with cheese, meat and potatoes with a container of green chile in a brown paper bag. It makes a damn good lunch that'll carry you through 'till supper.

There's not much service to speak of. You order up at the counter, seat yourself, and I'm not even sure if they bring the food to you (I've always ordered out), but who really needs that? La Pasadita's menu isn't very large, but what they do offer is consistently good. I used to work across the street from them and I can't tell you how many lunches came from there. I was never disappointed.

La Pasadita's only major downside is their hours (or lack thereof). You can still taste the toothpaste and they're closing up. But if you're ever up that early and want some good, solid New Mexican food, give them a try. Be careful parking on the side of the road though. It's got a weird slope and it's easy to scrape your door on the sidewalk.
