Review:
I know this will be hard to believe, but there really is a third contender to the "Greatest Burger of All-Time" title. People around here seem to either vote for Mannys or the Owl. But Im here to tell you that Bun Huggers beats the pants off of both.
I lack the prose to truly capture the perfection that is the Bun Hugger burger. Im sure it has something to do with the open fire pit of mesquite (I think) that all the burgers are cooked over. All you can get there is burgers of varying sizes and some fried veggies. All their burgers are named Hugs; Lil Hug, Double Hug, etc. Heaven is getting a Lil Hug with cheese, a side of fried zucchini and mushrooms, and a pitcher of root beer.
I was blessed enough this summer to be able to go back to this wonder of my childhood and I can say that its still as good as I remember. The one downside is that since its in Arizona, they dont do green chili. No green chili cheeseburger, but its really more bearable than it sounds. You can always smuggle some green chili with you into the state, but even if you forget, give it a try anyway.
So if youre ever in or passing through Flagstaff, AZ, give Bun Huggers a try. There is one on the main road near the university and another on the main road that the mall is on. Its really worth the trip.

Note: You must be a registered user and logged-in to rate a restaurant.
You walk up to the counter to order, they call your number when it's ready and you leave your stuff on the table when you leave. So, I'll rate that as a little under average, but not in a bad way.
