Good source for foreign foods and ingredients. In addition to things for
Indian cooking (papadams, sauces, etc.), I buy some very nice
truffle oils from here. It isn't uncommon for them to be out of stock
on some of the items I want, though.
Another good source for foreign gourmet foods and ingedients. I typically
go here if Ethnic Grocer is out of stock on something I want. The two
stores tend to cover each other's weaknesses pretty well.
An absolutely excellent after-dinner or desert wine, icewine is made from
grapes that have frozen on the vine during the winter frost. These are
not your typical wines; they are thick, sweet, and extremely flavorful.
They are much more expensive than your tablewines, but they are not
prohibitively so and they are well worth the price. Great for special
occasions!
